Hello! I will read the story to you.

Voices come from your device. If one sounds odd, choose another.

In a small town called Nazareth lived a young woman named Mary. She loved God very much.

One day the angel Gabriel came to her and said: “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” Then he told her that God wanted her to be the mother of His Son.

Mary listened carefully. Then she said yes to God. She was ready to do whatever God asked.

Because Jesus is God's Son, and Mary is His mother, we call Mary the Mother of God. When Jesus was dying on the cross, He gave Mary to be our mother too.

Mary loves us and prays for us. When we pray the Hail Mary, we say the angel's words to her and ask her to pray for us.
