Hello! I will read the story to you.

Voices come from your device. If one sounds odd, choose another.

The word “Church” comes from a word that means people called together. God calls us together to be His people.

The Church is not only a building. The Church is the People of God: everyone who is baptized and follows Jesus, all over the world.

Saint Paul says the Church is like a body. Jesus is the head, and we are the parts of His body. Every part matters, just as your hands, feet, eyes and ears all matter!

Your parish is your Church family close to home. It is where we go to Mass, where babies are baptized and where we learn about God together.

Your home is a little church too. The Church calls the family a “domestic church,” because home is the first place where we learn to pray and to love.
